| Saint Michael Conquering the Devil
"This work took six months to
complete."
"Saint Michael and the devil are both carved from a
combination of Elk and Moose antlers. St Michael's head, hands and feet are
carved from Moose antler. The wings and rest of the body are carved from Elk
antlers."
"The devil is carved from one piece of Moose antler. The only added
pieces are his wings and horns. They are also Moose antler. The devil has
garnet eyes that glare at a certain angle. The devil's hair comes from the
rear end of my neighbor's horse Jack."
"St Michael has a suit of armor made of silver created by a silversmith
buddy of mine, Ralph Sena."
"The entire piece stands 2 feet tall , 16 inches long, and 10 inches
deep."
"This piece was carved by me in honor of my parents who both turned 82
this year, Thanks Mom and Dad, you are both my heroes!" |
